My favourite pie from back home was a Vili’s pie. It’s an amazing pie. Maybe I’ve been away too long, maybe my memories have turned a bit hazy, maybe I’m just getting old, either way, this pie is better than a Vili’s pie! There, I said it!

My father had a meat pie bakery “Those Meat Pies” in Rhode Island in the 60s and 70s. Sadly, he never wrote down the recipe. I’ve been looking for something similar in Arizona for a few years now. This Australian style pie isn’t quite the same, but it’s close and just as delicious. I highly recommend this meat pie and I’ll definitely be getting more of these in the future.
